A Day Away events completely immerse participants in the intellectual and cultural world of a major Jewish thinker, and represent an innovative concept in multidimensional Jewish learning. Participants enter the historic era in which this master acted; they ponder his issues, and immerse themselves in his culture. They grapple with his original writings in chevrutah learning, are guided through his intellectual universe by master teachers, discover his historical context by hearing the music he might have heard, experience his struggles through original dramatic dialogues or monologues, eat the foods he would have eaten, and view the physical objects he would have seen and used.
